To clarify the rules of The Great North Dog Walk in Partnership with Dogs Trust. The exact distance of the course is 3 miles (4.8 km). The Kennel Club of Great Britain states that there are approximately 185 registered breeds. The number of participating dogs in 2017 was 30,114 and 185 breeds. Official staged start is at 10.30am and we ask that you do not walk before this time. However, registration is from 9.00am until 3pm which is "Last Entry".
